Infographic design and content

UI design, interactive infographic, data analysis, collaboration

Acuity Insights is like the superhero of educational assessments, dedicated to measuring the qualities that truly matter—think empathy, communication, and critical thinking! With their dynamic trio of products—Casper, Snapshot, and Duet—they’re on a mission to transform the way education is approached. Instead of just crunching numbers, they’re all about showcasing the full spectrum of student potential, ensuring assessments reflect the real-world skills that will make future leaders shine.

As the company sought to represent data from its, at the time, trio of products through interactive infographics, I teamed up with the research department’s whizzes to make sure the numbers were spot-on before we dove into content creation.

Things took an unexpected turn when the design team found themselves juggling too many tasks and time was ticking away. Not one to back down from a challenge, I jumped in and took on the design work myself! Even though design wasn’t my usual forte, I rolled up my sleeves, sought help when needed, and dove into the exciting world of UI design. Using the Ceros platform, I whipped up some visually stunning infographics for Casper that were sure to turn heads.

However, just as we were getting into the groove, Snapshot was sunsetting, meaning those infographics were no longer needed. To make matters more interesting, a delay in data production meant we couldn’t complete the infographics for Duet either. Talk about a plot twist!

Next up, I had to ensure our content and designs aligned perfectly with the company’s brand identity and standards. We went through multiple rounds of reviews with stakeholders, incorporating their feedback like pros to refine both the visuals and the info. This iterative process meant the final infographics didn’t just meet the high bar set by Acuity Insights—they dazzled the audience! Plus, we even translated the content into Canadian French, keeping it fresh and on brand.

To tie everything together, I crafted a snappy pillar page that served as a one-stop shop for all the infographics, allowing users to effortlessly explore the data from the previous year's Casper test.

Sadly, a few years later, the company decided to wave goodbye to those infographics as the info became outdated and their branding evolved. But hey, every good superhero story has its twists and turns!

Leanne is a very talented content writer, combining great research with compelling storytelling.
